About
Crossed passions
My name is Constance Tournier. I am 20 years old and I am a student in Layout design at Ecole Boulle in Paris.
I am fond of design, architecture and art and I am really interested in drawing.
Indeed, I have been practicing it for a long time. I think it's basic knowledge.
During my free time, I often draw.
My friend, Augustin Reyé, is very fond of watchmaking. He asked me to draw his favorite watch : the Omega Speedmaster. I have never sketched a watch before.
I felt this drawing was more exciting than the others I made before.
Actually, this watch includes a lot of details that I enjoyed working on.
I loved this experience and I repeated it.
When I draw, I use all my skills. I have developed them during the five years I spent at Ecole Boulle.
I learned bending sketch for three years in cabinetry specialized in chairs. And I learned to layout maps for the last two years. These two blended abilities helped me to create a watchmaking artwork.
All of my drawings are realized by graphite pencil which is perfect to portray steel.
I use different kind of pencils, with ten degrees of hardness. They help me to intensify contrasts.
This work requires rigor and patience. I usually spend approximately 150 hours for one drawing.
